To make a long story short, I have an After Burner II stand up. However I haven't played it for years and I went to playing this past Sunday. Everything works except for the thruster control, it works but it doesn't automatically go back the center it's real stiff to move (but moveable). Do you know if I have to take the panel off, or can I just spray some WD-40 or other lube in there with out removing the console. If I need to remove the console anyone know where I get the right screwdriver for it, it's a star hex with a tip in the middle of it?

I think I need to take the console off anyways because the right speaker isn't working, we are thinking that in the moving the game around that a wire fell off.

The phrase you're looking for is security Torx screwdriver. Any decent hardware store should sell them - or online from an electronics distributor. They used M4, M5 and M8 sizes in the cabinet. You need to undo the M5 screws behind the coin chute door IIRC.

Just check that everything's OK and there's nothing broken - don't be too forceful until you've identified the problem. If the control is greased, don't use WD40... but it's OK otherwise.

Don't forget that the force feedback is controlled by the motor, if that's not working.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. Thanks for the what type of screwdriver I need, I'll look into getting one. It looks like I would have to remove the joy stick and shifter to get the cover off. I know the force feed back works, but I lost the fuse cover and didn't know witch type of fuse to use (amps), for the manual doesn't talk about the force feed back at all, for some reason.

What can you do with a coin mech that just jams the coin. The coin goes in, but it gets stuck on the coin magnet detector (lack of a better term), can this be fixed or do I need to replace the coin mech?

    Thanks!
