Ok, so My Fience' and I live in her parents basement apartment. Its preaty much seperate from the house above and has its own kitchen, bathroom, workout room, ect... Her cousin and his wife and kids are coming over to stay all weekend to visit. They are bringing 2 TVs and 2 Xboxs to lan COD with my Fiences sister. This is not a problem in itself, however we have the wireless router and modem in the basement with us in our private room. Everyone else in the house gets wireless N from my router I have set up. They wont have any 360 wireless network adapters for their xboxs so they plan to set up in our living room downstairs and run wires across our bedroom floor and stay up late yelling into mics and having a party down there while I have to work all weekend and need to sleep. We cant tell them no as its been tradition for them to come over on Easter weekend. So what I am thinking is a wireless bridge to another router if I can set it up. I have a spare Wireless G router. Is there a way to set up my Wireless N router to broadcast internet wirelessly to my G router so they can jack into it upstairs thus keeping them out of my hair? Please let me know any ideas if you can and thanks for reading my wall o' text ray:
I'm pretty sure it is possible. Something like this? http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1...er_as_a_diy_wireless_access_point/index3.html I googled "using wireless router as access point" http://ask-leo.com/can_i_use_a_second_wireless_access_point_to_extend_my_wireless_network.html Yeah. I guess you could get a laptop down there- use Internet Connection Sharing to provide the internet to a second router, and distribute it that way. Good luck in your quest. I'm interested into the feasability myself =)
