i've got a wireless router which i've had for about 2 weeks now and i've finally got it set up downstairs. The router is a TP-LINK WR641G 108M and i'm using a TP-LINK wireless usb adaptor with another computer using a d-link pci wireless card.

I been into the set-up utility of the router but when i set up security i find i cannot get a connection to it. on my computer it just tries to connect but doesn't and on the other computer it tells me it may be out of range which its not as it still finds it although it works fine without any security.

Try changing the broadcast channel, it shouldn't really make any difference but I had a similar issue some months ago and it worked.
