Hi all, Hopefully this is the right part of the forum to put this but please tell me otherwise. I bought a bunch of Xbox consoles listed as "spares and repairs," out of 4 only one was broken and it was just a sticky draw. Link to ad here. Anyway I have been playing around with the one with the Xecuter chip and panel, it has a 500GB HDD and has a few bits pre loaded. Before I start pressing buttons what do the four at the front do ? I assume they are some type of BIOS banks. Also looking at the front panel it was soely the front that you have to replace, why would the top of the console have a black X green vents ? The rest of the console is also green. Then one last question, what would you value it at ? I have never had one of these before and no idea where to start looking. Thanks in advance.
http://x3.bustedchain.com/biostools.html The switch's on the front are for loading different bios's and for flash/write protection. It look's to be flashed already so I wouldn't worry about it to much as long as it boots to dash. No new bios's have been made for it and I am sure its on the latest bios. This has all the info you need for operating that X3 Xbox OS. The X3CE installed in it is a very sort after modchip as well as that faceplate. http://x3.bustedchain.com/biostools.html Nice find by the way. Its worth around $200 and up USA depending on the hardrive size, condition and of course the right buyer. The xbox has a custom jewel someone made and looks to be spray painted green on it's vents. That really doesn't bring up the value too much.
Awesome, thanks for the info, the bottom half of the case is a crystal green like the halo version and this is what the top looks like (needs a wipe down,) The top vents also look to be a crystal green opposed to paint. Thanks again
WOW! I paid £90 for my X3 xbox with monster HD component cable , top of the shell may have been painted black from the inside?
