I have built my supergun, and have PCBs laying around to play it with - here's the problem, the controller connector I am using D-SUB 15pin is nearly impossible to solder wires to without them crossing over like crazy. Is there some special technique to solder these? Thanks!

Do you mean that you accidentally bridge the connectors together? Or are you just bothered by the fact that the wires don't stay sraight and in order?

If you're bothered by the way the wires stay, I don't know what to tell you. 15 wires is quite a bit...so they're not going to stay together in 2 rows flat on top of one another. I'd say just put a zip tie on them and leave them in a bundle.

If you're accidentally soldering to more than one point...I have to ask if you're using the right kind of soldering iron...

If you can't solder you can try getting crimp type connectors. I used those, however I highly recommend soldering instead. Crimping (for connectors) can be a real pain in the ass. Another post reminding me I need to pickup some soldercup style connectors. Definitely just get a smaller tip for the soldering iron and practice. Soldering well leaves you will a much better connection.
