Pretty interesting news for those of you who were hoping to play Midway's canceled "Hero" game. So everyone's up to speed: several years back, Midway was working on an ambitious create-a-super-hero game called Hero that looked really cool and unlike most anything else out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn_F_uDuTkE The game had a ton of promise, but sadly Midway shut down before the game could be released. However, another company called Phosphor Games was later formed from a bunch of ex-Midway employees who wanted to see the game brought to market. Thus, Hero was reborn as "Project Awakened!" However, even this game has been in no-publisher limbo for a couple years, and development was apparently slow going because of that. Luckily, with the advent of Kickstarter and fan-funded projects, Phosphor is now taking a stab at finally making Project Awakened a reality! Check it out: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1312036782/project-awakened It's always a great thing when a once-canceled game sees the light of day, so I thought you'd all be interested to know about this
I wish I'd seen this earlier, it does look like a great title though. Especially cool to see them still trying to get it out there.
