Where should I look for details on how to record gameplay footage from a PS3 in 1080p I want to make Machinema that would be big enough to screen in movie theaters. So far all I've been pointed towards the blackmagic intensity devices. I figure I need to record from HDMI to pull this off, will the HDCP from the PS3 stop this, or will the blackmagic intensity model xyz take care of that? Will I need to disable HDCP? Any help or pointers anyone could offer would be much appreciated.

You will definately need to strip the HDMI with and HD fury or HDMi to Component convertor on Amazon. 1080p is definitely possible but you will definitely need an SSD or Raid drives to accomplish this. I would just use component in 1080p the quality is great!
