I'm in the UK, I make synths, and I play old games, so by necessity and out of boredom, I've been modding some consoles. This is just an intro, so, stuff I've done - NES - Region mod, Variable clock mod, circuit bending patch-bay. Gameboys - Backlights, Pro-sound, Arduino control of Midi. Super Gameboy - same as above, minus backlight, obviously, and added link port back in. Megadrive - Region mod, 50/60hz mod LED change, circuit bends on a rotary switch in matrix with a bank of switches. Master System - Colour grounding - play in reduced/altered palettes, circuit bends, 60hz mod etc. SNES - Region and Hz mods, bends blah blah I also made dev carts for the Gameboy and Megadrive I have an AES waiting to be messed with. I'm well aware that people will hate me for modding original systems, that's okay, I can take it There's nothing funnier than someone raging at the internet, after all. Anyway, i'm a cool head in a crisis, and if you break your gear, I've probably got an idea how/if you can go about fixing it, so go ahead and ask if you need help, the worst thing that'll happen is I'll take ages to reply, and then I won't have a clue. Nice one, thanks for having me, etc. CB.
