Hi, I'm from Holland and been gaming since I got my NES in 1989. Bought every Nintendo since, and also PS2/3/4. I still have my NES/SNES/N64 hooked up to an old CRT at my parents place. Recently I stumbled across the retroRGB website and read up all about RGB. Only to discover my PAL Snes has always outputted RGB, and that my old 21" Sony Trinitron supported RGB all along... And. I had it hooked up to composite!
Now there's a few things i want to do:

NES: get an NTSC 60hz frontloader (i like the looks better than toploader) and make it region free and do an RGB mod on it. Maybe also get one of those multi out adapters. Maybe stereo mod as well. Only thing is, the NTSC consoles don't accept PAL controllers I heard, need to fix that to have it work with my zapper and ROB etc... Or maybe put the NTSC CPU and PPU on a PAL NES?

SNES: since my PAL SNES is already outputting RGB (i already got a cable, looks great), i only want to do a 50/60hz mod on it. Maybe SuperCIC. Not sure if i can do it myself though, really lacking soldering skills.

N64: i bought a french N64 already modded to RGB from eBay to play nice with all my PAL games (only NTSC i have is sin and punishment which works through adapter). Maybe thinking of sending it to Otaku's Store to have it made regio free, and then buy NTSC copies of games that got a lousy PAL conversion (like SM64).

My monitor is pretty decent and luckily outputs RGB, but no widescreen or 480p, so I've been keeping an eye on a BVM-D32E1WE... :)

Well, that's about it. Joined this forum to get some help with the modding :)

    Welcome!

Practice makes perfect when it comes to soldering. Find some old radio or something to play with before working on something that matters! ;)
