Hi! I' am searching for some informations about two curious hibaihin games I own. Already seen It? Uchi Iwai ~ Kyoudai Kamiwaza no Puzzle Game on Game Boy : Has been bought on ebay about 3 years ago, seller told that It's limited to 500 copies, and was available/given in an exhibition in 1995, from what I remember but I don't know more, unfortunately. AIR on Dreamcast : A Limited Edition I bought on Yahoo maybe 2 years ago, It's the only copy I ever saw, and I have no idea where It came from. It's "stamped" Not For Sale, and contains a calendar and a jigsaw puzzle. The game isn't different of the commercial version. I hope that somebody has more informations! Thanks!
As for the GameBoy game, it's in this database (bottom entry): http://homepage3.nifty.com/tarenosuke/notforsale-gb.html Degree or rarity is set as a D and the author seems to know nothing about the amount of copies that were producied. There are currently 2 up on yahoo, so you can see the average price: click I also did some research on the Dreamcast title and found a page dedicated to the "AIR"-universe (most likely compiled by a bunch of otaku's  ): http://noblenep.hp.infoseek.co.jp/air-goods2.html It tells me that your version was distributed exclusively by McDonald's in and around Osaka () in the time between July 26th and August 08th 2001 (approx. 9months after the DC release). If there are mistakes in my interpretation of this text, please correct me. It was the only entry that connected hibaihin with Dreamcast-version, but I don't know what a Toreematto is. Train mat? I even consulted Japanese Wikipedia but there is no entry for it
The number of hibaihin Game Boy game is 6,000, it was present from Famicom shop from 16.12.94 to 16.01.95 in a campaign.
That's a lovely version of Air for the Dreamcast. I too have never seen that. Well worth keeping hold off for sure. yakumo
this is nothing related to the Hibaihin DC game from above. toree = tray, matto = mat. looks to me like a mat insert for a tray as a give away from Mc Donald in kansai (osaka) related to that AIR DC game.
Please don't take it personal, but how can we verify that this information is correct? I'm sorry for being such a non-believer...
