High pitched noise

When using my TED in my PCE DUO I get a constant high pitched noise on every game. Anyone else have this issue?

 

Soooo.. I'm gonna guess not...

 

Probably not. Can you take the cover off your Duo and try to isolate the source of the sound? I'd guess an inductor is acting up near the power regulator. Post back what it may be when you find the exact location of the noise.

 

Its not coming out of the system itself.. Its coming out of the speakers... But only when using the Everdrive. CD games don't produce the noise and neither do normal Hu Card games.

 

Are you using the correct power supply for the system? The many difference between the ED and normal HuCards would be increased power consumption and maybe increased RF noise. Although there is an audio_in pin on the HuCard but on the TurboED that shouldn't be connected.

 

Did you found out what was the problem?

 

Considering the OP hasn't responded for 2 years, I'll assume he found the cause of the problem.

 

Tell him to come back and post how he fixed it so I can fix mine!

 

Wow.. I just saw this again. I did fix it, and it did happen to be the power supply I was using. Swapped it and everything is fine now.
