that's pretty strange. i can sing pretty high though. well, i guess in jr high i could sing really high. i'd always sing the soprano part just to mess around.
That's high, but it's a woman's voice -- I'm sure there's some software out there that could analyze the waveforms and tell if the voice is really male/female. But that's my initial reaction. Anybody else get this impression?
Well, that voice is probably real. Since I have seen other males doing that female voice, and one of them was an opera singer. So it is possible, but even if that video is fake. Then it is still real the other stuff I have said. If you ever listen to Modern Talking, you would probably think "damn isn´t that a woman singing ?". But anyway that is my two cents in this shit.
I recall a song a few years ago from Wheatus called "Teenage Dirtbag." There are parts I could've sworn was a woman, but my friends all say it was a guy singing the whole thing. Still, it's crazy to see that voice possibly coming from that guy.
"I got two tickets to Iron Maiden baby. Come with me Friday don't say maybe. I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby, like you. Ooooooh." I love that song. I think it's definitely possible for a male to get that high. I think it's more of a drama thing, like impersonation.
There is Anthony Green from Circa Survive (link), who is known for having a high voice. Other than that I'm not sure if the guy has a lot of competition for highest voice
he was my first thought when i saw this thread. every person i've ever shown Circa Survive too thought it was a girl and me. i'm a huge Anthony Green fan. i can thank an awesome british dude named myk for that
+1 but I doubt many in the US have heard of him. Well... at least the age group here.;-) Jimmy has a great falsetto.
