Hey all and greetings from the San Francisco area - Stanford right now! First time ive been here and surely wont be here again in a while!! Will be keeping my eyes open for dealing opportunities! Any hints?? Ciao! kammedo
Find a street corner where there are some seedy people, but apparently nobody selling drugs. That should be a good dealing opportunity.
Better than nothing No, Frisco is really a great city i must admit! And im really enjoying being here!
yeah I did too when I made my E3 trip some years ago Of all the cities we visited I think I liked it the most (probably because of the cheap booze and the people we met there =P)
If you use the term "Frisco" the people in San Francisco will get pretty peeved. That's why I use it as much as possible. All joking aside, my parents and sister live there. It really is a beautiful and unique city. I prefer LA so they give me endless grief about it...heh.
I don't think used PC shops are too common in America, I know I've never seen one that specialized in working used computers. The best place for used stuff would be at a computer convention probably. There are quite a few mom & pop computer stores in the Bay Area but I can tell you everyone in the know just orders PC stuff online like most of the world since it much cheaper. In a pinch though there's Fry's Electronics where it's possible to get amazing deals on new PC equipment with sales and rebates if you have lots of time and aren't too discerning. And yes, Eric's right, we prefer to call San Francisco "The City" just as most other big cities are called by their locals
You're in the rightplace, Sanfran is known for it's Gaymers. All jokes aside, I hear they have crazy good food.
I like SF...been a few times. The only thing (and unfortunately its quite a major thing) is all the homeless people at every streetcorner. Even when staying in one of the top 5 hotels in the city, you still cant avoid them. The same goes for all the drugdealers... Shiggsy
