    Hi all,

I've been playing a lot of Zelda recently, and I was wondering- does anyone know of any websites or articles with history of the series?

Info such as design choices, changes from betas, influences, mistakes, first appearances.. that kind of thing. Thanks for any info!

At first I thought this was the chronological order of the games.

Anyone know if Shigeru ever made one?

People internally at Nintendo probably keep records of every Link/Zelda appearance that exists, much like the Lucasfilm archives has every piece of Star Wars information ever published and all merchandise produced (yes, every piece).

As for continuity, I'm sure there are some hardcore zelda websites that have kept a timeline of the events starting from the first game. However I would think that Ocarina of Time serves as the "reboot" of the series and all other games occur during or after that game.

I debated on this with TS_Death_Angel years ago, Basically we came to the conclusion that the 2D games have really no continuity with the new Zelda series. Basically the time line is
OOT->MM->TP->WW->PH H-> and the new upcoming train game

Basically it was explained that the triforce binds the Zelda characters to reincarnation thus allowing for new stories and plots that don't really involve any linear storyline. TP was more like a reboot but people see it as a WW prequel
