I know. The film is amazing, one of the best about WW2.

But this scene is all over the Youtube with different subtitles. In one, it's his Steam account that is banned, there are some that say his Xbox360 died of the 3rl,...

I'm not saying the movie is funny (far from it), but the stories people created with the subtitles, are.

The director himself stated that he is impressed and bewildered by all those creative fan impressions of that final scene of The Downfall. He loves to see how people from all over the world use the depiction of Hitler's defeat, the most feared man in the world of 1939, to create parody in their own way.

I think there are many outstanding German movies that deal with the Nazi theme, but this one really is a highlight. I am highly interested in the historical aspects of that time of my mother land because it is so unique (in a bad way of course, but still), but I believe there is no reason why nobody should laugh about a man like Hitler.

He's probably become the most reknown politician of all time. Just think about how many jokes are told about this weird-looking person... nobody would find Stalin funny. Ever. Hitler again is just a symbol for a behavior that is just as terrifying as it is ridiculous.

I love this film, It's on my list of BEST FILMS IN HISTORY EVER.

I think Bruno Ganz (Hitler here), should have won the oscar for best actor that year. But then again, nobody had the GUTS to vote for someone depicting Hitler exactly as he was. But yeah, I mean, imagine what it must have been like for the actor to wake up every morning to see Hitler staring right back at him from his bathroom mirror....

    Creepy.

I study Hitlerology in my spare time, and believe me, creepy and sadistic as he was, he alone was not responsible for all the wrongdoing and massacres of the third reich. He had some pretty fucked up people backing him up.

Why the fanaticism of Hitler and this video??? Hitler's had enough with RROD. Hitler had enough with so-and-so. Hitler had enough with..... you get the point. It's old, unless you love hitler.

What's not to love about the hysterical Hitler depicted in that scene?

That is why people are fans of it

Meh, it been done to death...

On the other hand I find that germany has become a very healthy society if they cand do such revisions of their past, unlike russia which still celebrates stalin as a hero even when he killed more russians than hitler did.

But then again, "Hitler's day" is also celebrated in russia...

Even if Hitler will be angry no matter how much,
Yamauchi does not seem to compromise this time.

    "GT5 Prologue - 4.5 million, GT PSP - 1.8 million.
they are surely fillers, but we give the result every year.
I am at a loss even if asked why GT5 is not released.
I want to develop game till satisfied my mind (sometimes)"

    in Mar, 2010, Sony commented as;
"If GT5 released, PS3 sold more".

since 2005, Yamauchi is Corporate Executive of SCEI also.

What's "Hitler's Day", what do they celebrate there?

I find it highly inappropriate that Stalin is still honored in Russia as a national hero, but what can you do about it. The government forces it on the citizens and the other states must tolerate it due to economical dependence.

If you calculate it all together, Stalin had very likely killed more people from his own country than Hitler - only difference was it did take a little longer, but people like to forget and to glorify. Look at France and the collaboration, it took them 50 years to apologize for the deportation of jews under the Vichy regime but yet they love to print stamps with VICTOIRE as if everyone had been in the resistance.

But I'm drifting away, lol. I'm just interested in 20th century history and it seems to catch me everytime when political discussions come up here.

Anyway, I like it how Hitler is portrayed in any parody. I just liked it if every country would look at their past or themselves even in such an easy-going way.
