Guys, Have a look at this sellers stuff; http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/noel0715 Some cool stuff - PC Engine LT brand new, some funky arty Dreamcast which is currently over £2,000! Wonder if he is legit or not, I am suspicious, as he states on the auction pages; 'I was a owner of a TV Games shop in Hong Kong. However, I closed my shop bucuz high rental cost and thus I have lots of old games and old game system left behind (more than ten thousand items).' But it's interesting to see he has picked some hard to find stuff to list first, either people are going to get a bargain or get scammed (that Dreamcast bidder is a brave individual!) What do you think?
The responses to the questions don't help any in allaying fears of being scammed, I'd steer clear if I were you.
I was not planning on bidding myself, but will keep an eye on the Dreamcast for a laugh! Mind you, from what is said above, maybe this IS the batch to go for then - he might build up his feedback selling these, then scam everyone later on. I have to say that I think there is a 100% better chance you will receive that old Gameboy if you bought it off him, rather than the Dreamcast or the PC-LT! Also, I am confused as if he knows PayPal will refund the sellers, why not just insist on cash or bank transfer, especially if he has done it before, and knows PayPal will take the money back from him? Bottom line... A fool and his money... if something seems too good to be true, it usually is!
I'd be wary of his sales. For someone selling a slew of rare/valuable items, he doesn't even do basic things like add his sellers name to the photographs. Considering the ease of doing so, and fact that it would put buyers minds at rest, its pretty strange.
I sent him a question saying "I am living in Hong Kong and if I win can I pay in Cash and collect the items? Is it possible to view the items before I place a bid as you do have some expensive items" be interesting to see what he replies...
Fraud Warning!!The ebayer called noel0715, owner of the rare DreamcastLimited Edittions plus big game collections/ etc is No longer a registered user on ebay. Not to mention I received an alert from ebay entitled as MC015 Important Message from eBay Loss Prevention Department, regarding one of the Dreamcasts I bid, but didn't win fortunatly. Carefull people! -Treamcaster
Treamcaster... Do not bid whatever its seems to be tempting. This guy was a stupid scammer. You can't open an ebay store all of a sudden with rare stuff and 0 feedback. You are automatically under suspicion.
