Check it out... Kill Zone for the PS3 ...wow ! Is it in game ? O that would be sweat if it is. http://playground.hypnotic.net/killzone.mov
It is questionable. I think the key words are representive and trying. Actually does any know if the RSX has even been tapped out yet?
i hope it is real, but i doubt it. the animations of each characters are way too precise, perfect fiting and custom to a precise situation. imagine it like this, each movements someone is doing, each enemies who are falling each explosions and thing that flies in the air, each visage emotions fiting with the precise time of a certain situation could always change depending on how the ''player'' played it's way trough the ''level'', that would be really too insane to be true. It's seems like a cartoon or something, but in real time, with near to total interaction with the human behind the pad, with milions and milions of possibility each seconds depeding of the reaction of the player, it just seems way too organised and scripted, like if every moves and reactions where pre-calculated so that everything fit perfectly. you never see the same animation twice, the same movement, the same attack, the same fall, the same taunt. that would be way too insane to be true, and if it really is, i wonder how many animators and artists are behind that. everything just flow down to it's conclusion too well, too fluid and perfect. did anyone noticed a sprite or a polygon anyway?
The developer confirmed that the footage is not real-time. It is just what they hope the PS3 can do, which I doubt it can do all of that.
If the games end up with half of that quality i'm sold. But i'm a Killzone fan since the game was released on the PS2. When i saw this video on the Sony Press Conference it made me go crazy. And then there was Vision Gran Turismo, Killing Day, MotorStorm and of course WARHAWK!
That was freaking awesome. The game does look like CG big-time, though. I wonder what the real time looks like...
Seeing as how their was pop up of some of the buildings when they are comming out of the sky, id say its real time, although not neccesarily running off of a proto ps3.
It's been found out that some of the video shown was renders from special computers. So it's hard to know if ti is real right now, or an "estimation"
Looks too well done for real time. Games won't look like that now. The jump is far too big compared to what we have today. There's never been a jump that big before. OK, from SFC/SNES & Mega Drive to Saturn and PSX was quite a nice jump but nowhere near this big. We all know Sony and their super hype department. Yakumo
Well the jump from the 16-bit to 32-bit was such a big jump because it was mainly going from 2D to 3D. From 3D where do we go from here, 4D -P. However in the 16-bit era we did get a prelude to what we'd see in the future with games like Starfox and Virtua Racing. Though at that time, I probably didn't think that.
No, it is confirmed as realtime gameplay, it is not rendered in any way. http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/748/...7/617862/g4_e305live_day3_jtretton_wmvlow.wmv
Doesn't Tretton statements run counter to those of the Killzone dev themselves, and what about their own PR man the one with the strange idea of truth...
So ASSEMbler is the stuff you've seen really this good looking? Cause I'm having a hard time believing this could be realtime.
Holy Fuck. In the unlikely case this would be realtime, I'm going to be getting war flashbacks after finishing the game. I'm SO buying it if it looks like this... and I don't even like FPSs most of the time...
