My collection is losing value fast. First all the Square greatest hits and compilations and now this. At least my Atlus games should hold their value.

The value of the PS1 games shouldn't drop that much. That PS Collection came out for GBA and the normal games didnt drop in value.

Hmm, but the PSP versions will probably look as good if not better than there PS originals (albeit smaller screen). So with a US release, I'd imagine them hurting the price of the PS ones a little, but then again who knows for sure. Hasn't Atlus done the same with re-makes of SMT series for PSX and GBA, and aren't they going to do Devil Summoner for PSP.

Am I the only one who couldn't give two shits about this game? The PSAP is full of PS2 and PSX remakes. It's like a bloody GBA with many SFC ports.

That actually looks pretty spiffy. Even though it's a port, it's good that it's coming out so those that missed it the first time around can play it. Sigh... I wish somone would port the Sega CD version of Snatcher to something more current (touch screen shooting areas would be fun).

    You don't like Suikoden
Besides I like a mix of classic ports and original titles and the PSP has it's share.
New Ghouls 'n Ghosts, E3, Loco Roco, Field Commmander. The non-ports are coming you just have to look for them.

I have it for te saturn which is just the same as the original PSX version. It's not that I don't like it but that if I want a RPG for my PSP I'd want something new not a remake. That's the problem with handhelds these days, just remake after remake.

Thats the concept for the portable console. To take the games you play on the home console with you where ever you go.:p

That's what handhelds have traditionally been since the dawn of time. Mainly portable versions of what you've already got available on the home consoles.

What are the chances of these, Breath of Fire 3 & 4, and Mega Man Legends 1 & 2 for PSP ever getting brought to the US, though?

sounds a bit lazy though? isnt' that just an excuse NOT to come up with original content?

Well its not an excuse not to come up with original content but specialy on the psp its stupid not to port a game over made for the psp to the ps2 or vice versa its a bigger share of the market.

As much as you all wish every game wasnt a sequel (which would really kill alot of the BEST games out there) they do have to created what sells. The people working on these games most likely dont want to bash out fifa 2008 but theres little they can do about it. Their work has to please investors pockets...

Rehashes and rehashes :/ I wish somebody would make a PS One emu for psp - that would save me from buying 50% of psp games.

Well they did have different intros...

Why risk making original content that may or may not sell when you can get as many sales or more with a smaller investment of time and money into the games development (ports)?

Someone already has. Not even remotly close to full speed though.
