UPDATE: I have bought conker and shenmue 2 for cheap, yet I can't find armageddon for about 10-15 pounds (including shipping) and this makes me a sad panda.

PS: why did you get conker in japaneze subbie? Are the jokes translated? I thought japanese people didn't like british beer/fart-jokes (although I ve seen alot of cock-knocking on their TV)

PS2: I m amazed that they made Conker to run. Truly amazed! If they have fully supported Conker, there's not a single XBOX game out there that isn't possible to make compatible in my opinion. Rare had done a lot of work on the metal on that title, I wonder how they pulled it off! I d love to see the emulator's source code (some day )

 

1) It's In english, Sorry ment asian release.
2) It was retail and came with Conker doll (I could not get one from stores)
3) My xbox is modded so region lock is not an issue for me.

Now i am happy i got asian version since it will run on my 360 (conker was region locked).

 

If they ve kept the N64 multiplayer on Conker it would have been much better off. Not to mention I would own you subbie in ways you never thought possible:rambo: (loser would have to quit his job or something :lol: )

Ditto, but toss in Gun Valkyrie from Smilebit too, even though it's not a super excellent title, I'm still looking for an excuse to play it and finish it.

I played conker last night. I swear I was playing a 360 version. I know the xbox version looked amazing but on the 360 there was no hard edges (so FSAA) and the framerate was fenominal (I thought I remember it being slugish on the xbox). So I am gonna have to dump the game to my xbox hdd (in the name of science) and then also run it on my 360. I can then just go back and forth with the video button and see if there is a difference.

God man, I think i've been playing Wii for too long. Conker really looked better then quite a few 360 games.

That later was released on the ps2. Personaly I prefer the xbox version still (better lighting from the flashlight).

Yeah, tried Conker. It does look better, sharper and generally plays much better. Unfortunatly, I picked up Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for the xbox and thought it was compatable with the 360, it wasn't though (Thought I saw it on the compatability list). Also got Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams for 12 bucks, not bad in my opinion.

 

Anyone have the old versions of the emulator archived anywhere?

I question if MS is cheating and just had rare recompile the conker src to work. No way in hell they could get emulation of conker this good.

 

Bought shenmue 2 today for xbox and tried it with the new bc update, runs very smooth and actually looks very sharp and cleaner.

I tried conker on xbox. Game just sadly is so visualy amazing it puts the wii to shame (atleast current lineup). After a quick hour run then going back to 360 i noticed a few things.

1) Visuals are almost 1:1 (this is on sdtv 4:3)
2) 360 image is sharper in a few spots
3) 360 does feel a smug smoother but mostly they are equal
4) it plays a little better on 360 since the 360 controller is a little nicer then the xbox
5) Audio (mostly voice overs) sound different. Not sure I would say which one was better
6) intro video on first boot runs choppy on 360 but not xbox
7) all loading screens are missing when running on 360, Not sure why
8) loading time is about the same

thats about it.

Only thing left to say is conker is too difficult for no reason sometimes.

 

I would play Shenmue II, but I already had to restart 4 times due to hardware issues (Once on the Dreamcast PAL version because my save was erased, once on my first xbox because it was stolen, once on my second xbox because the hard drive crapped out, and I just started to play it again on my current Xbox). Only way I will play it on the 360 is if I can transfer my save over.
