    Hi Everyone,

So after much swaying back and forth, I've decided that I'm kind of interested in obtaining loose copies of Gimmick, Lagrange Point, Battle Formula, and Castlevania III akumajou densetsu for the Famicom.

For someone in Japan, would these be very obtainable (ie. You could get it anytime provided you "show them the money"), or are some of these kind of uncommon even in the Japanese market? I assume CIB would be immensely more difficult. From my basic understanding, I think Gimmick is probably the hardest to obtain?

Yahoo Japan. There are very, very few "unattainable" games.

Depending on who you use, you might be able to find some tools available through your deputy.

nothing a wad of money can't buy. That's why I collect prototypes, sometimes there's no "other" to buy.

I believe Battle Formula would be the hardest to obtain. Although "hardest" is still not hard at all compared to some not-for-sale items or prototypes/betas. Those games are in the 6000-12000yen league which I would say is 7/10 on a Famicom-rarity scale.
They can always be obtained in Japanese chains like Mandarake or Super Potato. Gimmick is on Yahoo most the time, Battle Formula can be a little harder to come by.

What's Famicom TV? If you're referring to the early title Donkey Kong Jr. no Sansuu Asobi then it's not the easiest game to find. You will have to pay about 3000-4000 Yen for a complete copy, if not more when in pristine condition.
There are usually just a few complete copies on Yahoo and mostly they are in poor condition.

It's actually one of the three rarest of the 16 early "small box" titles by Nintendo, Popeye no Eigo-asobi and Gomoku Narabe Renju being the other two.

Heh, well any condition is probably better than North American condition. Cartridges with torn labels, "please rewind" blockbuster stickers on them, missing boxes, etc.

Japanese people tend to take a lot better care of their games, but there are always exceptions.
