So I've figured that connecting to the internet with my dreamcast is quite the mission. And after trying to set-up a PC-DC server and failing on more then a few times, I give up. I was wondering if any of you guys had a solution All I want it to get the downloadable songs unlocked on my USA version of samba de amigo. Is there a way to do this without the internet.. I.e. gameshark , dreamexplorer? I'm only at the 3rd challenge in expert. So I don't want everything to be unlocked, which eliminates the idea of simply buying a VMU that has a save of everything on it. In other words I want to beat the game myself I just want more songs to improve my skill with. Anyone got a solution?
Why not get a Nexus card? Many of the VMU save download sites offer the files in DCI format, which is the file type used for parallel port transfer from PC direct to the card. No Dreamcast required, and the Nexus cards are reasonably easy to find if you know where to look. If you're a little more ambitious, a standard VMU can also be connected to a PC parallel port if you build the interface and download the server-side code. The details are somewhere at http://www.maushammer.com/vmu.html
or get that homebrew VMU Utility disk which comes bundled lots of save-games and you just transfer them to your regular VMU
Is there a way to make your own ultility disc? I don't want a saved game I want to be able to take those DC VMU files that unlock certain things on a already saved game. Offical Downloadable content. i.e like this samba de amigo files on this website. http://dreamcast.onlineconsoles.com/phpBB2/downloads_officialcontent.php
