the title say everything... must i mode my us snes? or just blew those two little pins in the catrige slot?
SNES/SFC Universal import adaptor http://www.robwebb.clara.co.uk/shop/snes/snes.htm For more info go to: http://www.retro-games.co.uk/nintendo/snes/snes.htm
You're thinking of just cutting the tabs in the cartridge slot. Sadly, this only works to make a NTSC/U machine play NTSC/J games or vice versa, as they both use the same video format and signals. To run PAL games on a NTSC machine, you will need a convertor cart, sadly. Or just get one of the many fellows living in PAL territories to sell/trade you one.
I think you can in fact mess with the lockout chip (like with NES)... but I dont know what that'll do to the video.
did the pal snes had the same mother board of the us snes? because i saw mod on the net to switch to 50 to 60 hz . can i take this pal and aply it to my us snes? or its totally different?
Indeed, you could install a switch in a PAL SNES to switch between 50/60Hz. Super Famicom games slot sraight in, US SNES games still need a pin extender cos of the cart shape. And here's how to do a 50/60Hz switch on a PAL SNES - http://www.gamesx.com/importmod/snes5060.htm No idea if you could use this as a basis to do the same thing on a US SNES to reduce the system speed? If not, may be easier to get a PAL SNES and perform this mod.
but , if they can make a 50 hz game going in 60 ...why can't i just take my pal game .,detroy tose two pins and try to make it work? maybe im all wrong too ....maybe they utilise 60 hz games..... :smt017
I havent read the article so I dont know if the two switches are connected in some way, but I think a region switch is all you need as most EU games arent PAL optimized anyway :Hangman:
