How can I reset the password on a GBA Movie Player?

I bought an used GBA Movie Player SD at a flea market. Unfortunately the previous owner has set a password. Unfortunately I do not know the password nor I can bypass the password screen. Does anyone know how to reset it?

btw, it doesn't matter which SD card I use. The password is stored in the firmware.

 

Here's the last update for the GBA Movie Player SD. Should be able to update and in the process overwrite the password.

I've never had one of these, so I don't know about them specifically. But updating and/or downgrade the firmware should fix it.
If not, open it up and see if there is a battery powering some type of memory. If so, remove the battery for a moment and try again.
