I have a classic Xbox 360 game console. I store my profile and savegames on a Xbox 360 Memory Unit, because I want to access my data easily when I play at a friends home. I did that long time before when Memory Units where the only available portable storage medium for the Xbox 360. Unfortunately Microsoft removed the Memory Slot on the Slim version. I cannot use my Memory Unit on these systems. I decided to move my data to a USB stick, but I cannot move some of my savegames to a new storage location because it's restricted. Therefore I'd like to continue to use the Memory Unit. But some of my friends have the new S model, so I have problem. Is an adapter available which allows to connect the old Memory Unit to the new S model? Datel released a PC adapter for Memory Units years ago. Is this adapter compatible with the S model? http://www.amazon.com/Transfer-Xbox-360-Saves-Memory-Unit/dp/B000G02KGG
Also arent you able to move the save files (that are protected) from the MU to the internal HDD, and from there to a USB-stick? And/or after loading said savefile (in-game) save it again, but then to the HDD?
Tried the Cloud Storage over the christmas period on two friends consoles, as well as downloading my profile onto two other consoles. You get 512MB of space to chuck stuff about, and it will sync automatically when you start a game that you have a cloud save for. Quite nice to start Sonic The Hedgehog on one console, play a few levels on a second console, then come back home and finish it on a third. Also, moving content out of the cloud is as easy as moving content between a HDD and a memory stick - just click and go. Shockingly, it's quite good. Also, glad that MS now allows you to keep your profile stored on other peoples' consoles without having to transfer your account. Now when visiting a friend, I don't have to spend 5 minutes recovering my gamertag to play, then have to recover it again when I get home. Of course, you have to have trustworthy friends, but at least you can lock it with your password.
VERY useful feature. I have three Xboxes in my house. Mine at a desk with surround headphones, my wives also with headphones, and a third one on my 42" plasma. That one is connected to the Kinect and for when guests are over to play Street Fighter, etc. Being able to just PLUG IN and play is nice. Especially with the game saves (being that the one at my desk is a Slim system, the other 2 are original). a lot of games sync game settings/profiles to your gamer tag (call of duty series for example). It's nice I'm able to play on my desk like I like, when guests are over I can bring my load outs to split screen.
