Hey for anybody here who might know. How common is it to find used BC PS3 in japan? Also how much do they normally go for? I'm tempted to get one to play some Japanese PS2 games. I know I can go with a normal ps2 or chipped ps2 but I love playing my PS2 games on my PS3 via HDMI out to my pc monitor.

Did drop from the 80,000 yen that a lot of shops were charging them. In shops they are generally around 35,000 to 50,000 yen and they aren't too hard to find.
Neat. =) I think I mostly want one to pick up some odd and ends games. Like Gundam games & some D3 Simple games like Earth Defense Force. Yeah I know i can go either the EMU route (but this does not work well, I recently bought a used mint copy of A.C.E 2 but I get stuck in the first mission since the VO starts a sentance then doesn't continue which does not hit a trigger to bring on the enemies) or J-PS2 or chipped PS2 (but I like playing on my PC monitor via HDMI, my CRT is starting to give me headaches when I do gaming on it). I think I was primary curious how expensive they where in shops in japan vs online since I might get the chance to do a quick visit next year. I guess it looks like Yahoo is the better option.
Well if you are here then you might as well try and find one in a shop as you get some more come back if the machine does have a problem and the postage and handling charages would probably mean it would be the same.
