How do I extract audio from .mpg file to mp3 or wave?? I was able to record some songs I did from the PSX of MTV Music Generator like 4 years ago onto a DAT tape and now I was able record it onto my PC via ATI's TV Tuner and recording it, but recorded it as video .mpg. I just want to make this into an MP3 or at least from mpg to wave or would I have to record it the old indeo .AVI (not DIVX)? Overall, what software does anyone know that can do what I want to do?
I'd also recommend VirtualDubMod (not the normal one - it has no support for MPEG video!). Wait... I'm not sure if it can do that with MPEG video - support for MPEG's a bit patchy (though it has no problems with normal AVIs). Umm, if you get TMPGEnc, it definately does de-multiplexing of MPEG streams (i.e. you can separate the MP2 audio from the video), and then you can use BeSweetGUI or CDex or something to convert MP2 to MP3. TMPGEnc probably refers to this as "demuxing", but that's what you want.
I used blaze media , did the job for me.. allthough it's not really user friendly and a bit buggy when u select the source file u want to edit .. in the rip screen where u split the vid and audio u still have to select wich file again... other than that it worked nicely
