After getting my old test kit to work i was able to fix it. But how do i recover the game that was on the hard drive?
You could install Rebug DEX CFW and dump the files using Multiman. I don't know if test/devkits allow you to FTP into the system and grab the files natively as I have never owned one. But Multiman has a built-in FTP service that should make transferring files around more convienient.
You need the remove the hard drive and dd it using Linux before you end up corrupting any potential data that could be on there.
only run target manager from your host pc, link up test kit ip, than you can send out HDD0 data and save on PC
