For the life of me, I cannot get the images I downloaded from the net to work on my atari ST I just got. I can't figure out how to use makedisk. I try pressing the left arrows to go to "write" but then it won't let me type in any DOS commands, I can't figure it out. Is there no easy to use program? I have the .msa atari ST image, and I just want to use that to make a damn 3.5" floppy that will run the program on my ST. Can anyone step by step like I'm an idiot explain to me how this is done? It seems to me that a simple program would say "select atari image file" and I'd press enter and it would automatically write to the 3.5" disk for play on the ST, does such a program not exist? I am using windows 2000 if that matters...

Wow, how weird is this? This issue just came up for me....as I just scored a 520 ST for 20 bucks. Try a program called STDisk it's like makedisk...but claims to be better. What kind of floppy do you have? I'm stuck with SF 354s...so...I can only read single sided disks...which means I can do practically nothing with my ST. 314 drives are double sided....so that's nice... Oh! Make sure you're using Double Density Double Sided disks instead of High Density...I hear HD floppies can fuck up the ST pretty badly. And lastly...I'll ask where you're located at...as I want a 314 drive...but i can't even find one on ebay.
