How do I take a DVD (with Subtitles) and make it Divx?

I have this foriegn film I'd like to get a rip of. I've been looking for it for ages and finally found a DVD of it at a store away from home, so I'd love to make a rip.

VideoHelp.com probably holds the answers to all your questions. Try looking for a guide or two under Convert or DVD Backup.

Look up AutoGordianKnot and a guide on how to use it.

ok this is what i'd do to rip a dvd to divx although not sure about subtitles part but that should be easy.

search google for dvd converter programs or any type of video conversion software that does conversion from dvd's to divx and then once installed you should select the appropriate settings e.g. video type Divx and if you want framerate and stuff or leave it to auto as well as where the file(s) will be saved, You then need to select the where the dvd is and then select the appropriate chapter with the main film and not the extras or whatever. You would then select the appropriate subtitles before hitting convert.

if you need any more help just let me know and i can help you a bit more.
