My day is filled with ranch work that includes caring for animals, mechanic work, and repairs. Then I have gaming stuff and brony stuff that takes up the rest. Mostly gaming stuff with my Xbox lately. It's starting to become a pain again with stuff not wanting to work right...

Do homework, study, clean, work, and get some exercise. I try to stay as busy as I can because if i stop to watch tv or play games I end up not wanting to anything. I have to constantly stay busy. If i start the day off slow I won't get anything done. I have a love hate relationship with video games because it is such a waste of time. At least when your watching TV you can still be working on other things.

    Title: Daddy schedule :p

    My day usually consists of:

    Sleeping in
    Having lunch
Play a game for the afternoon
    have dinner
Play a game for the evening
    Snack
    Shower
Play a game for the rest of evening
    Go to bed late

That has to change as I'm going out for a trip this week :|

I think anyone would be envious of such a laid back schedule as Hexigons! I am most similar to SuperGrafx, with the addition that I still work on my HL2 mod in my free time to practice C++ and game design in general.

Most people really don't understand how much work goes into making a game until you try to make something yourself, especially when you are alone. It is more work then I could have ever fathomed, even with me being a connoisseur of gaming & reading into the development process of big name titles/companies beforehand, it is still more than I ever imagined.

lol mix the joys of doing house touch-ups prepping for sale and the fun increases!

We have actually gotten in a "handy-man" to do some of it as with the wee fella running under our feet makes it hard.

My day usually consists of: sleep, eat, play videogames, go to the Apple Store, go to a videogame store, play guitar, sleep some more, web browsing, watch the Daily Show, sleep even more, in no particular order. I'm not at all happy with this situation. I'm not doing anything meaningful or interesting with my time - it's just constant time wasting. I want to find a job, but I can't seem to motivate myself to take the necessary steps to make that happen. This is all compounded by the fact that I'm basically nocturnal - I stay up all night and sleep all day. Something needs to change, but it's just not happening at the moment.

I used to be like you some years ago. Finally found a job, where I have to work in day & night schedules, and loved the peace of the night at first, but now I'm starting to hate it and have become more of a daylight type of person. Life changes you, I guess

I've been trying to become a morning schedule and it has been rough. Still haven't quite got there yet and am still working on it.

As for usage of my time. I try to write down things I want to accomplish, during the day and get into the habbit of checking my list through out the day. One problem I have is I tend to slip into ruts where I'll just spend hours watching tvs or playing video games and as I'm going to bed I'll think "wtf happened?" Usually I try to take a sort of nightly inventory and also check for the moment that I got derailed off of my to do list.

That's my current strategy would love to hear ideas that help people stay on track and be more efficient.

Life should be enjoyed so at work I get everything I need to do done then I go home, eat, wash spend time with my son until 8:30pm when he goes to bed. After that it's free time to watch TV or play games until 12 when I have to go to bed. Weekends are much more fun. A lot more play time:D

I plan very little, everything i do is mostly spur of the moment, I do not really organize my day to day routine or even have one. I don't have a regular sleeping or eating pattern, my day to day life is anarchy and chaos :) I do what needs to be done when it needs to be done, or when i feel like it.

this is at least one luxury i have right now. If i had greater responsibility things would probably be a little different (eg kids) I don't try and maximize my days through organization, I'm not a robot / computer. I am human. Life is here to be enjoyed we don't have a long time(which could be an argument either way).

Professional life always comes second to personal life and my enjoyment of it.

It's odd because I want an active life but don't have it. I understand though since most of you just want more leisure time than anything after working constantly.

Wake up late, like 1 pm.
Start doing your stuff and wait for 1 am.
Midnight forward your phone will not ring, no one will ask you anything, your neighbors won't make a sound and you will be able to work a lot up to 6 am.

That's more or less what I do.

Walking! To clear the mind and find new and refreshing things.
Staying awake into odd hours of the night procrastinating doing nothing.
Listening to music and playing with an EQ.
Learning as much as possible from as many different sources as possible (twisting the perspectives of a smug millennial blogger, a jolly WWII vet, a Mexican mystic, a rigidly conservative investment banker, and a Turkish girl with a thick Russian accent who's temporarily working in the States together into one confusing mixed drink is pretty fun)

Just recently moved out of the city and it's made me truly appreciate just sitting outside. Stillness of nature > a multitude of sirens and gun violence

That sounds incredible. A job isn't always a more meaningful use of time. Unless you are good at saving money, it basically drains you mentally and physically while it lines your pocket with enough money to pay all the new bills you have because you have a new job to support them.
