How does graphics programming on PS3 work?

    I know that PS3 games use OpenGL but is the driver that turns the OpenGL calls into RSX instructions built into the "bios"/"os" or is it linked with the game and included on the game CD?

    i d assume it 'd be on disc. Having it on bios/os or someting so static wouldn't make it futureproof.

    you have a OpenGL ES variant and a more lowevel API that the OpenGL ES sort of uses (yeah my explanation sux, but gfx programming isn't my interest anyway :p)
