I'm planning on buying Wipeout Pulse with my Christmas money; the thing is, I'm off to France right after Christmas day so I'll probably end up having to buy it in Paris. Are PSP games released in France multi-language like those in The Netherlands (the blurb text doesn't really concern me) or French-only like many PSX games?

Europe tends to get multi language or english only games since the game can check what language your psp is set to. So if you leave your psp in english you get english, if you set to french you will get french.

99% percent are fine. I personally not had any issues but my house mate had one game which was all French (poss a medal of honor game). However Stuntman Ignition does have a "Not for sale in the UK" sticker.

Great! Thanks guys. Otherwise I was gonna borrow some money and buy it a few days earlier in Holland, but now I won't have to... it'll give me some entertainment on the train back to Holland :)

All the games I bought in France for my PSP run in English and other languages e.g LocoRoco, Pursuit Force...

BTW if you go to Paris, you have to go to this store:

    http://www.retrogame-shop.com/

It's great for import retro stuff, well worth a visit, it is near Bastille, here is the address:

I've done most of the store in Paris and this is by far the best.

    Cheers

And here I was thinking all the retro stores were in the Rue Voltaire... thanks! Will check!

Know of any good, obscure record stores stocking new stuff? I'm in the mood for some electro vinyl. Travelling by train has the great advantage of no weight limit ;-)

I'm not into Electro nor into vinyls so I wouldn't know.

A list of retro/import game store in Paris I found in a french forum:

    .FAMITSU 1 & 2 (6, rue d´Arras)
    .HOUSE GAMES (3-5, rue d´Arras)
.STOCK GAMES (15, rue de Ecoles)
    .RE-PLAY (6, rue des Ecoles)
    .SQUARE GAMES (5, bd Voltaire)
    .MAXXI GAMES (7, bd Voltaire)
    .MOVIE GAMES (11, bd Voltaire)
    .STOCK GAMES (13, bd Voltaire)
    .HOBBY ONE (15, bd Voltaire)
    .SAT.ELITE (15, bd Voltaire)
.J-Type (86 rue de Charonne, metro charonne) This one's closed now.
    .Tokyo eyes (23 rue keller)

Still lots around I have done a few of them but I still come back to Retrogame shop the shop owner is really cool.

I did get a F1 for PSP in france earlier in the year and apart from mainly french on the game cover etc, all english options available......so I would hazard a guess most bigger games would be fine for multi language
