How long will everdrive last?

    Hopefully people are doing that with pre 1982 pennies ;-)

    I did the "sell the original style as is for parts RROD 360 Elite on Ebay for $80 and pick up a new style 250GB for $200" trick. Worked very well and only had to do it one time.

    What trick? You're just putting weight on the FBGA. You could stand on the console and it would fix it also (for a short time).

    If you are skilled with a soldering iron, you can re-solder the QFP X/HANA IC. They changed it to FBGA in the newer systems for some stupid reason. Mostly because it was cheaper knowing Microsoft's outlook on hardware. So, you are going to have to re-ball that also.

    The QFP chip was ANA, not HANA

    Yes. But it is just better (and safer) to re-ball it. You can re-flow it, but the grid array is finer I believe, so it makes it all that much harder is all.
