I was updating my collection list on IGN tonight and while going down the list I realized that I have a ton of games that for whatever reason (lack of time, too lazy to hook up the system, ect) never got around to playing. Anyone else like this? I know I can't be the only one.
Same here lol. I use Game Collector. I recommend it for fileing your collection. I hated some things about it but I took time and cracked the graphics and stuff and made it the way I wanted it and now im uber pleased with it (i used to use gamespot) I even was able to make it show screenshots for each game along with the box scans it already shows. I have at least 300 games I have never taken the time to play. I hope to someday get around to playing them.
I think I have about 10 or so that I have yet to play. Most of them were purchased within the last 6 months or so. One however (Wild Arms 2) I have owned since 2002 or 2003 and have yet to play it.
A lot, most of them are old and used games I got from blockbuster's wholesale lots and discount bins... I think the console I've played the less is my 32X. Way to go for a SEGA fan:katamari:
I use VGrebirth for my collection list, and out of 200 or so I think I haven't played through maybe 40 of them, but all of them have at least been on for a little while.
I have more games than I care to remember. Probably have played all of them for an amount of time. Most of them I ve completed though
Every game has had a quick 10 minute blast, but many have been played less than one hour, and most less than 2..It's quite worrying how little dedication to my games i have..
I ve had tons of games and I ve enjoyed a good percent. it's not my fault most of the games that exist aren't up to par to my taste and liking. In the light of that, it is justified that most of our (thousands) of games haven't been touched in depth (the sexual way )That said, I love hardware more than software for some reason - a PCB/console fetish
Oh man, a ton for me. The vast majority of my PS2 collection is simply just that, a collection. Since most of them are so time consuming (Wild Arms Alter Code F took me ~ 125 hours.) I shit you not when I say thats one LOOOONG game. However, a lot of that time was spent grinding for Skill equipment. -_- I spent 10 or so hours trying to get 2 Necronomicon books until I learned the quick and easy way to get epic loots. Anyways, I think about 35% MAYBE I havent beaten. 3-5% I have at least played. I think I have played and beaten at least 60% of my games though. Goes down everytime I buy one, though! I'll have to check my IGN list to see exactly where I stand.
I've bought a good number of games that I've never played. PC and PSX are the two systems that usually get the least love when it comes to this sort of thing.
*sigh*....that's the way to live, right there. I wish I had that kind of time. I've got a couple hundred games, mainly PSX titles, that I've never been able to play. About half of them are sealed, actually (common stuff).
For all the games I had/currently own were on for 10minutes to one-hour. Mainly to see if they work. I sold 1/3 of my collection (they were mainly PSX games plus some hardware) and I still have unplayed games, mainly Sega Genesis games and some PC games.
I keep all my games info on a simple xls file. Anyway, i still have to test some japanese PS1 games i bought (in a big lot, and since some of them were japanese only, kinda forgot). PS: If you guys don't want your PS1 games, send me them. I'll promise they'll be loved
Eh, I'm somewhere around 2000 games...and I'd wajor that theres about...50 that I haven't touched. Most are games that I don't have any interest in...(My generally awful Playstation library) or are just bleh (About 10 really dirty 2600 games). I generally like and enjoy all of my games though.
Glad to know I'm not alone. I guess there comes a point in collecting where money to buy games outpaces the time to play them.
There are a about 150 games in my collection (though it is small, about 500 games) which I never put in a console. Most are for Mega Drive, PSX and Saturn. I just have too much trash (good conditioned trash so I will keep it) and some of the good japanese games such as Sakura Taisen or Advanced Daisenryaku are impossible to play with my pitiful japansese skills.
