My wife's hobby is to cross stitch, and once i managed to get her to work on something concerning games... the question is, how much would you pay for something like this?

I would ask over at http://sorrytown.us/ , he does similar work and I think he sells it, but I am not sure.

Looks neat, except for the frame maybe and I wouldn't prefer actual characters. Get me a compilation of Pulstar / Blazing Star ships and we are talking big bucks ^^

I don't like much the frame either but the work is amazing!

    What's the actual size?

Looks like a hell of a job to pull

I wouldn't ask for any money. because your wife did that, it must be invaluable anyway.

I am sorely envious of you having a wife who makes game related anything...

BTW the frame is wonderful, it just sucks being pictured :D

How big? also can you show some sprites?

This one is not for sale.

I thin it's around 30x30 cms, and it's made in really thin threads, so t's really an hell of a job!

^this is it :) Asking for interest price and boosting my wife's work all in one :D

That's nice a few changes here and there and it turns into my favourite video game character. :D Putting a price on the work is hard, generally charge as much as you think you can get away with. :) I've sold crappy bits of modern art for three and even four figure sums...

I'll speak to my girlfriend, Her mother owns an art buisness where she works and she also has done concept art for game companies before, Maybe she can come up with an estimate or might know someone who can. I see her again maybe tomorrow or thursday so if you don't get an answer by then I will get back to you.

If you want an affordable website to sell them, PM me!

Those are totally awesome, I'd pay really nicely for that if I could afford much, lol. Especially Lenneth, good taste!

    Good news and Bad news.

Bad news is I saw my Gf today and forgot to ask her.
Good news is she is stopping by tomorrow so I'll try to remember to ask her opinion.

Some weeks to months, it all depends on how many colors, how "detailed" (i.e. pixels) the stitch, and how thin the threads are. Easier ones are a couple days work

Karsten , I would pay 250 kroner for such an awesome picture (250 kroner = 50+- US dollars). Hell, I think she would love to make SSI RPG cross stitches. Because of their pixelness . So that is what I would pay for such a cross stitching.

oh BTW i just noticed this, but this picture is 20-22 colors a small pack of threads (special ones that have high resistance to light ecc ecc) costs around 2 euros each, + the base to be embroidered + weeks of work.

    do the math.
