You may not notice it but not everybody is using gorila glass, a lot of companies use regular screen glass which is cheaper, but also way easier to scratch.

So, to anyone here who already has a Vita, how good is the screen's glass? do you notice any signs of wear on the screen?

Not yet, nope. I have a case and it sits neatly in my bag though. I don't tend to scratch my items (iPhone has no case and looks new; as does my Japanese phone).

Most touch screens are quite scratch resistant, Just keep it away keys, pocket change, etc.

Best advice you can really take. Believe it or not, many people do this by accident.

Even train tickets scratch screens, happened on the iPhone, lucky the screen protector was on it.

Every capacitive screen its made of "glass", of course not windows glass but some mix, like gorilla glass which is made of alkali-aluminosilicate

I just saw a Vita today. The guy at Gamestop had one before release, for some reason. The graphics look pretty good, but not quite PS3 level. Close. I like the analog sticks. I think the 3DS's circle pad is better, but I like that the PSV's sticks... stick out a little bit. They're very small, though.

I didn't realize that the back was touch sensitive. For some reason I thought that was a feature they removed. The thing is fucking huge for a handheld. Not Nomad huge, but still pretty huge.

It's rather large just because they want to sell a slim model in the future!

It's not that thick. The biggest part is the screen. I think it's the largest screen I've ever seen on a handheld.

There was a video on YouTube where a guy smashes his Vita with a sledge hammer. I don't agree what this guy did and it's far from scientific.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jUC-ug5YAU

Towards the end of the video, you can see a shattered screen. It's some sort of dense material. It looks some sort of glass but it may be plastic.

A lot of publications I've read online that have reviewed the Vita have avoided the topic of what the screen's made of altogether while other's simply refer to it as plastic.

I personally haven't used a Vita yet, so I don't know for certain myself. I'd probably go into a Best Buy and tap on the screen with my fingernail. I mean, that's usually a tell for me.

Stupid douchebags retards with too much money breaking stuff up, how would the world be without them?

A better place that's for sure, shoot the fuckers between the eyes...

And the capacitive screens of the Vita and most cellphones are made with aluminosilicate, which is mostly auminium, silicon, and oxygen.
