WHy the fuck is it not possible to leave negative feedback for a buyer?!? Why the fuck does ebay seem to think that the buyer can do no wrong and there is no reason that you would need to leave an unsatisfactory review. Some dumb piece of shit bought an as is broken digital camera for $13 shipped and then left me a negative without even contacting me first because it doesn't work. I suppose I just have to chalk this up to ebay fucking sellers, but is there anything I should be looking into doing to resolve this?
Yea, it's bullshit that you can't anymore.. You can try to have ebay remove it, or talk to the buyer and see if they will withdraw it for you. If not you can always comment the feedback with reply. Then leave them a nasty feedback..maybe include there address if ur really pissed :shrug: But yea it does suck..since the change i have had at least 3 buyers i would have left negative feedback for.. oh well :banghead:
why? because ebay is fucking with its members (especially sellers) since years. worst (quasi) monopoly ever.
Yeah I hate this new rule, it's caused me a world of bother. The only bad feedback you can give to a buyer is if you go to their house and fuck them up.
Well i do mostly buying and its welcome that buyers who just want retaliate cant give us bad feedback. Otherwise you have to ask them to leave feedback first and lots do not do that to keep you scared of having bad feedback in reply.
What's worse is that if you get a few successive feedbacks from a dodgy buyer then ebay starts blocking your paypal payments. You don't get the money until the buyer leaves positive feedback any neutral or negative results in an automatic dispute being opened and a potential automatic refund.
Well i never said they shouldnt have better standards for resolving issues. I do think they suck at that however i still think that sellers shouldnt have the ability to give neg feedback unless the dispute comes out in favour of the seller.
Problem is that as a seller I have zero grounds for a dispute.. The only thing I could do is request a feedback revision which I am not qualified to ask for because I have sold less than 1000 items in the past year. There really shouldn't be a way for either party to leave negative feedback without third party mediation. If this guy had just emailed me and stated his dissatisfaction I could have made an attempt to reconcile the situation. Instead he left immediate negative without any care wether I was willing to work with him. He should have had to go through a validation process to make sure he had exhausted all other methods of reconciliation before a negative was left. He also apparently gave me zero stars on everything and I am now facing probationary action if I receive another low rating in any one of the categories. Oh and did I mention that this is my FIRST negative feedback!
This is why there need to be more than just ebay so ebay will stop doing shit like this. No matter what with paypal when im the seller they always hold the payment to make sure the buyer gets the item as described. thats sorta bullshit, Paypal almost cheated me out of a thousand dollars I had to yell and scream on a phone forever for them to finally realize they refunded the buyer even tho he recieved the product as described.
Wait, did you mention in the auction listing that the item didn't work? Make sure to point that out to them. But yeah, I don't bother trying to sell expensive items on Ebay anymore, too much of a pain.
