Now, I know its not exactly news, but I know I've bugged members here about the whole conversion issue, and I've always been told to patch the game or get a better modchip. I've hated the thought of my originals going to waste, plus I worry of the PSone's laser going out using CD-Rs. Anyways, I found this site: http://www.geocities.com/first_wizard_zorrander/ntsc2pal.html which speaks of a program called "Palpar." This program analyzes an bin file and creates AR/Gameshark codes that will change the video signal without patching and/or making a backup copy. So far, I've tried it with Earthworm Jim 2 and Megaman Battle and Chase. EWJ2 worked perfectly, color and picture placement dead center. MMB&C, however, had the screen lowered a bit, but the color and speed were dead-on (it might be worth noting that I had the same effect when I used the PAL2NTSC patch). Hopefully, this method is able to help someone else out there without all the trouble and mess of patching and creating backups. Yeah I remember this great app, I used it a lot but the generated code just switched from PAL>NTSC, you needed a different code for the screen alignment. I got a screen alignment code for a few games but I dont remember how I generated them but these were really hit & miss, about 50% chance of working, the PAL-NTSC ones always worked though EDIT I think I got the codes from a similar app called Yfixer ou vfixer, something like that
