hiya people have a nice shiny ps3 o yeah its shiny, my eyes, anyways was wondering if anyone of you lot knew how i could connect it to my pc via the ethernet cable supplied so far my luck has been zilch any help would be great cheers
...... fitting connectors doesnt mean anything. the ODEM card for example fits a SCSI, but it's a special cable because some things are rearranged. a cross-over is a twisted end wire, whereas the patch cable is two parallel wires.
Basically a cross over cable looks exactly the same as a normal Ethernet cable but internally it switches several connections over so the "write" wires go into the "read" socket on the other end of the cable and vice versa. This allows the machines to talk to each other
sorry for dp please dont kill me another slight rant, the ps2 online able games like time splitters FP, and metal gear solid 3 now i didnt have an ethernet and hdd for my ps2 but i thought id be able to play on line with the ps3 nope not a chance , anyone any ideas on this one cheers aghain guys and gals
