How to build a front fed GD-ROM drive.

    Thanks. I might do that, but that version I understand more or less how to build, and I have a half finished version of something similar on my workbench. Just a matter of attaching the whole pickup assembly to the tray. The guy in the video keeps the pickup static and just loads it with a normal PC tray. What I think he might have done is remove the normal center attachment cylinder and replaced it with a magnetic one similar to the one in PS2. If I can find a scrap PC drive with magnetic center lock I'll try that next.
