I have a arcadie for Iphone and was planning to build a mini arcade machine with one GB Boy color (clonic Gameboy color backlit), since the size of the screen fits nicely into the arcadie´s marquee and it would only need to add the Start and Select buttons.

My only question is whether you can take the controls of arcadie to connect them at the contacts of the buttons on the motherboard of the GB BOY.

The idea is quite attractive because the cost of having a mini arcade machine would be paltry compared to some I've seen here in excess of €100 (if not also have to make the furniture, which can throw you back or you can not have necessary tools). The price of everything could be around 40 € (the arcadie only costs € 9.95 at)

I put pictures of the arcadie´s control board. Not a conventional system of buttons because they don´t have switches. (you can press in the photos to enlarge them)

The operation is simple. When pressing a button, a metal bar contacts on blue board (see photo) and then each button ends in a sort of circle (this is what leaves me misplaced because I don´t understand the operation at all)

PS: is feasible to do diagonals with Arcadie because doing so physically make contact two points on the blue plate as in a conventional control (like GB COLOUR, PSX controls.. etc)

There is an image of GBC board (not GB COLOUR one because I dont have the screwdriver to open it). Just for make us an idea:

So, after all. There is any possibility to connect the Arcadie controls to the GB Colour motherboard functionally?

I don't think it will work as a switch. My guess is pressing the buttons changes the capacitance of the tip.
