    I was wondering how to use CDMA Workshop to turn a smartphone's BAD ESN into a good ESN.

    I have version 3.3.5.

    It's illegal, very highly illegal. I'm pretty sure CDMA Workshop specifically does not do this for that reason, so you will need to obtain software from the darker side of the internet to pull it off. You also need a donor phone to use it's clean ESN.

    This is illegal because you could essentially clone someone phone and essentially accomplish the same thing as a phone wire tap.

    A phones ESN/IMEI is usually banned for two reasons;
    1: The phone was reported stolen
    2: You didn't pay the bill so the network blocked you (Same as #1)

    I think this thread should get deleted/locked..

    You can't "Clean" a bad ESN. Once it is bad it will never activate again. The service provider blocks it. It is a grey area and it isn't easy. But, It isn't impossible.

    Time to be the guy who knows all about Qualcomm devices. If it's a Samsung send the 16 digit password, LG use the LG Method, Motorola no luck. Any other questions? lol PM me if you need help.

    @AlexRMC92 CDMA Workshop is DESIGNED for this actually. I know, I've used it the last 3 years and also used the function for changing MEIDs and IMEIs for development use.

    Really? It has been a while since i've used that software (windows mobile 6 era), but back then it explicitly did not allow one to change the ESN as it's a federal offense. It looks like your right though, i looked it up and your right. Although they advertise it for ESN "repair" which is humorous. Now it's easier then ever to clone a phone.
