Hello all, As the forum title suggests, I am looking for any information as to PHP coding to allow users registered to a phpBB2 forum to comment, rate, and vote on various articles. This may be a plugin, sample code, or tutorials, but any information would be welcome. So what's the reason for this? Well as some of you may know I'm am currently in the process of creating a site dedicated to retro-gaming called 16bit Heaven, which can be found here http://www.16bitheaven.com . Part of the site concept revolves around having the ability for users to have their input, and as such a series of comment pages are required which would be implemented into the phpBB2 forums. This would be much like the news articles as found on the front page of http://stalker.myexp.de/. I currently have a quote of $500 for someone to custom code the complete thing for my site, which although would be nice, is flawed by the fact that I'm currently broke :crying: . I also have a more favourable (i.e. less expensive) option of having the coding from another site which would get me approximately 80% of the way there for $100. I realise this isn't the sort of forum to be posting such a thing, but you guys seem so helpful and friendly (well most of the time ;-) ) that I thought I'd ask. The smarter thing to do is to make a forum, like the "Frontpage News" one here, and then make a page that either displays or allows users to insert data/comments here.
Yea Gainjin Punch. I know what you mean, and that is the way things are currently working. I just feel it would be more professional, could include more features, and in the long run it would help the site progress (that and good content of course).
