Hi all, i don't know if this is the right place to ask but...

I'm trying to dump my two snes protos (tuff e nuff, the peace keepers).
They are pal but i have a ntsc superwildcard 24Mb.

Everithing works fine with standard pal cart, but when i insert the protos the screen is black and nothing happens.

Is impossible to dump with this config?

    Bye

Do you have a PAL console (& are the games NTSC?) If you have a PAL console, you need at least one PAL CIC to boot from.

Not sure if it'll work for you, but you can track down a Tristar (the NES/Famicom adaptor for SNES), it might help. It worked for me the other way around. I had a devcart from the UK that I needed to dump, so I put it in the copier and the copier in the tristar, and the tristar took care of the lockout chip business. If you find a PAL compatible tristar (or if it's got some region magic) it should work.

Alternatively, and likely easier (as you might have trouble finding a tristar), you can just mod your SNES to disable the chip. It's super easy: http://www.gamesx.com/importmod/sneslockout.htm

    Good luck!

I'm using a ntsc console with a ntsc super wild card (it did't work on pal console)
    The games are pal.

And you say regular PAL games work with your setup?

Can you play them on a PAL console? The SWC should have no problems whatsoever with those games and since proto cartridges look exactly like normal cartridges to the SWC, I don't know what the problem is.

The protos plays fine with the tristar.

some copiers are unable to dump 4pv5b protocarts, most likely due to the pld used on the carts.
thats most likely the reason it doesnt work for you.

remove the eproms and dump them with an eprom programmer.

basically every eprom programmer that supports 4mbit eproms.
most people prefer the willem programmer because it can be had rather cheap.
