I've been sent the wrong item by a Yahoo Auctions seller and I'm well pissed off. I ordered a new rear bumper for my car which they sent but the one they sent is completely wrecked. The one in the image was in very good condition. I went back to the auction page to check and the bastards have removed the pictures. Now I'm thinking that these pictures must still be on my PC somewhere but where? I use Fire Fox to browse the web but the Fire Fox program folder doesn't have any temp internet files in it. Can someone help me out on this. I want to prove that this is not the item show in the picture. Thanks!
The cache folder is C:\Documents and Settings\Your_account_name\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\*.default\Cache
Thanks unclejun but mine only goes as far as C:\Documents and Settings\MY-COMPUTER\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\2o6de32t.default No cache folder
Just ask the seller to proof that the items are the same as the pictures by emailing you the pictures instead, you can always try right?
Yakumo, you forgot \Local Settings\, try it: C:\Documents and Settings\MY-COMPUTER\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\2o6de32t.default
Thanks mate. Found the folder but no image Found a few oter images though. @port187, I thought about that but I can't see then saying yes. Worth a shot I guess.
The files in the Firefox cache folder don't have any extensions, but there are images in it anyway...
Irfanview plain and simple rocks, but the toolbar sucks , that you can thank goodness unclick before hand.
That crossed my mind too, but I think Google doesn't cache images, only textual content...? archive.org does so that would've been worth a shot if it were older stuff, but as far as I an tell, unless it's still in Firefox's cache he's SOL.
nope, never found the image in firefox or google. I've wrote to the seller but I'm not expecting anything worth while from him.
