How to fix NDEV (Wireless) RVT-001 (Wii Dev. Unit)

I got Ndev (Wireless) RVT-001 and I can start it, but there is just normal Wii menu.... but I can't connect my Wii Remote any way...

I changed Bluetooth module from working Wii to my Ndev, but it doesn't fixed my problem.

I press sync button on NDEV and Wii Remote same time, but it's not get connected...

 

Someone was just nice enough to install the wii menu on it before you got it. I owned an NDEV for years and Its not designed to run like a normal wii.

You need to have the NDEV connected to a win xp pc via the 3 usb ports, have the correct drivers installed, and you should also use the disc emulator program/SDK for loading stuff onto the NDEV.

But once its connected to a win xp pc with the correct drivers you should be able to connect a wii mote no problem.

And if you uninstall the wii menu you will have the normal dev screen. The dev firmware is designed to basically be an empty shell that waits for stuff to be loaded via the PC.

So now I really need PC with XP and 3x USB... I wonder if the serial port required too?

 

Nope the serial port is not required.

Here is a link to the 4.5 SDK I got with my NDEV a few years ago. Luckily for you I decided to keep a backup on my cloud. It has the drivers, SDK, Disc emulator program, Wii menu installer, and a ton of random text documents from Nintendo. Enjoy

What is typical price of these, one is for sale here in Finland. Was thinking about picking it up.
