    Hi guys,
Currently have a softmodded v1.1 xbox and would like to install my recently purchased 2tb wd hdd.
Understand that I would be required to flash the bios, but dont know where to begin.
I have an additional hard modded xbox (v 1.3) which is modchipped, however the bios is x2 4983.67.
From what I understand, this particular bios does not support a 2tb hdd and therefore am unable to successfully clone/format etc.

Thank you and your advice is greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards

Flash the iND BIOS to the modchip system, unless you're really wanting to TSOP mod, if so there's very easy guides on the net. It takes very little for a big result.

    Hi HEX1GON,
How do I flash my hardmodded xbox? can I upgrade the bios with a boot cd/dvd?
If I can avoid flashing my softmodded xbox it would be favourable.
Ultimately would like to use my hardmodded xbox to get my 2tb hdd ready to swap into my softmodded system.
    Thanks for your help.

Will now attempt to install the 2tb hdd, wish me luck.

    Hey gents,
I have successfully upgraded the bios to iND, however after the new boot screen the screen stays black?!
Played around with the jumpers, just to confirm the sata adapter needs to be on cable select?
Also, have AID 4.53 in tray, however not bootig into menu. Furthermore Slayers 2.7 does boot, however after formatting and installing xbmc dashboard to hdd, after rebooting encountering same problem.
    Thanks guys.

Well, it sounds like it's missing a dash, that's really it. AID should boot though. If not, boot a game with a softmod exploit, and then swap the disc out with AID and boot it from the file explorer.

You can reinstall the dash using hexen.

here is my guide, it should be exactly the same steps for you:

this is assuming you have successfully flashed your console

    hope this helps :)

esit: are you using a Green HDD sometimes they can be too slow to spin up and crash the console, put the old hdd back in and see if it boots hexen, you can hot swap the hdd then and try or use a program called CHiMp.

There is a method to slow the boot down to give time for the hdd to spin up but I can't remember what it is..
