I'm seraching on a way to get my retail ava-stuff running at dev.

So till yet i injected my xuid in retail container and resigned it to
    --> dev-live.
After that i can use the stuff normal in avatareditor.
So then i go to save and exit to dash. All is good at the first shot,
but when i restart or play game and exit to dash ava is totally damaged
and i must go again to avaeditor to build a new one.

Also rebuilding with xlast isn't helpfull, because it don't accept the asset.bin
which dash need to see the ava-con.

I looked in the sdk doku, but that isn't really helpfull.

Hope, someone can give me a kick.

    edit:
Le fluffie can also build live's and so, but the prob is that the avaeditor can't save the
    avasettings after using selfmodified avastuff.

I'm not at home at the moment, but I will thinker around with some non-award items and my dev kit when I get off work and let you know what I find out.

    Sorry for the delay.

I have tested some avatar items on my kit. You're absolutely right, it does pretty much just corrupt the avatar. I've discovered, however, that this isn't because you're doing anything wrong.

The PartnerNet servers don't have support for your avatar's item information, which is why it's corrupting your avatar. Try disconnecting your ethernet cable next time you want to get a new item working...does it still corrupt your avatar?

For me, it works fine when I'm not connected to PNet...but the second I do connect, it corrupts me. I can only imagine this is because PNet doesn't like the information I'm uploading to it.

A similar thing happens when you attempt to modify your avatar in a Live profile on a JTAG. Once you attempt to move that HDD over to an unmodded Xbox and upload the avatar information to the Live servers, it erases your avatar. Both PNet and Live are behaving in the exact same manner in this regard.

Sorry for the bad news...but it seems like there's nothing to be done for this. =(

Not true its just due to your profile not syncing with the servers. Thats why it corrupts I have plenty of avatar data unlocked that other people can't see online.

Because your unlocking improperly it doesn't match up with the server and renders your profile incompatible.

    What you understand about explain?
What you wrote is just an exactly definition of this...

So when you will contribute, fine. If don't then please write no
sentences which made people hot on stuff that they don't get
    or understand.

What? The method of unlocking is what causes it to desync. If you were to unlock an avatar piece on or offline that Partnernet didn't have it would still allow you to take it online. What I am saying is your method is what corrupts the profile not the lack of the actual profile piece being on any server.

you always beat around the bush.
You said, you have plenty of avastuff unlocked that others can't see, and that my method corrupt the profile.
So which is the right method, come to the point, please.

I think what he is saying is that as long as he doesn't login to PNet with his avatar stuff equipped, it's fine. This way, other people can not see the items.

However, once you attempt to sync your avatar with unlocked items, it corrupts the profile.

Try creating an offline-only profile and getting the avatar items working. Does it still corrupt after saving\logging in\logging out?

You must unlock the avatar item legitly on the development dispite rather or not connected to PN any other attempts to unlock the avatar item will corrupt your stuff.
