Once again we found ourselves stuck on an AFS .. so we checked where the error comes from ... but we do not see anything ..

- The address OK
- The length OK
- And we end it with the correct alignment!




2001 EN+FR.zip

You will find 2 files :

- EN.l62c (original file)
- FR.l62c (file with FR texts passed under Gr2dump9)

Because clearly understand what makes it block ...

Once again we need super yzb.
Just for checking here the sum of length :

0EB0 + 010B30= 0119E0

and correct alignment for me in 8.

I'am not fan about keeping the english text if it's possible to remove it because I want to save space for including some things from the anniversary edition (pictures, models, I have already taken some vidéos with minor change but better quality so huger in memory).
For now I'm close to import the system_hardmode.AFS
But of course if I have no choice I'll keep it. it's an issue.

I'm sorry, I can't see any problems.

If the English text is overwritten, there are lots of pointers that need to be modified.

Don't worry about space, because the English text doesn't take up much. If you delete it, you'll have a lot of problems.

 

Really.. any problem.. oh... so very strange because doesn't work..black screen.

The only solution it's add french text after english text and change address...

 

Ok we'll continue with your issue yzb adding french text to the next of english one.

We have find some others text AFS files and thanks to you yzb37859365, now when adding the french text next to the english one, it's ok
I have an other ask for you, I can't open some picture file like this one :

I can't opened them with photoshop and pvr than the picture in PVR "classic"...

Have you an issue for those kind of pvr, I'm pretty sure it's some pvr because when I opened them with hex edit the beginning of the file is almost the same than PVR.

the biggest majority of picture files are in this format, even the picture than we have taken from the grench pc version can't be opened and run on dreamcast. We have change anything, and it was build by fan...

The C08 C09 files are all compressed, and the unzip method is the same as the l62c file in the AFS

 

So if I rename my file like C08_KYAR.AFS and do the unzip method tool with classic AFS I will have the C08_KYAR.PVR ?

Thanks to you I can convert some hd picture from the anniversary edition to the pvr dreamcast



But the zip pvr stay "unopenable" for me...
I have tried to open the skay_C09.PVR renamed it skay_C09.AFS and trying to decompress it like a standard afs.
But it doesn't work unfortunally...
At the begininng of an afs file you have written AFS and this one start by :

l62ChR
Gbix PVR

So the tool that I have for extract the l62C of the afs doesn't work because I guess the tool doesn't find the AFS at the beginning...

So you're right it's like a .l62C what we can found in each afs file.

How do you unzip them ? Have you a tool for that ?

The AFS file is not a compressed file, and the AFS file just packages the other files together
So I don't know how you unzip the L62C files

 

Ok I will continue to try with the tools that I have found. But they take the picture convert it, in raw format and after change it in pvr again.
The problem is the raw, this picture format is only in black and white, I'm looking for an easily issue.
But the good news is I can take a dds picture from the anniversary and change it in pvr format for dreamcast. Now the next is to import some texture with better quality.

the beta V3 is available thanks to dragoncity the game is fullyplayable with 50% of the game in total french without crash we'll still continue the translation.

It's been a long time because we had managed so far to translate without worries...

BUT we have a big problem...

We use Gr2dump9.exe,it's in this tool :

It's not perfect for translate but it's not bad...

Normally when I change the text,Gr2dump9 redo the file behind.

But this time..no...I think when the text is too long it blocks !

So 1rst if you can find why doesn't work,there is 2 files :
64 OK.dat >> Work
64 KO.dat >> Doesn't Work

I don't know, but why don't you always put the end of the text at the end?

 

I tested put the end of the text like the last time but same problem.

It's the script we use for translate..the error it's inside..but where ..we don't know :-/
