how to know if a .cdi file will boot automaticly without any changes on a dreamcast? i've just downloaded a linux on dreamcast .cdi and im wondering if it i'll boot if i burn it like i downloaded it. thx! cahaz.
is really easy my friend... if is iso or bin it wont be selfboot "you can make it selfboot easily..."um if is nrg or cdi , just make sure it has 2 tracks, if it has 2 tracks, then is self boot, 1st track is either 4secs of audio or data, and second is game.
oh, only this? well, thank you for your answer ,evangelion-01. :-D oh and another question: DAO or TAO? it's the first time nero question me 'bout this. i know old cd writers need TAO. but how old is old? 2 years? 5 years? 10 years?
hey yeah it should. if you are unsure, convert it to the nrg format and then burn it. It should be self bootable either way. good luck :smt023
Re: hey is not always selfboot... better check if it has 2 tracks... coz sometimes they are not selfboot... trust me... i've had expierences...
cahaz, i recomend you download "daemon tools" to mount the image and then just copy disc to disc with nero.. that will always fix all that settings crap
Try to burn Disc At Once if at all possible, as it makes the overall burn seamless and more apt to run rather than if you burn Track At Once, which Dreamcast doesn't like sometimes.
